Because books.

They showed one skater at around 8, and one other sometime in the 9 o'clock hour, and I think that's it. I gave up and watched Idol so I wouldn't miss my favorite girl.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

javachik, I KNOW. If we ever find ourselves with more income and a place with more wall space, I'm going to go on just the tiniest bit of a print-buying frenzy.

“Not dead yet!”

Who are you looking for, Amy? I can tell you the start times for each skater.

ETA: Never mind. You meant your favorite girl on Idol.

I R Tahhhhhrd.

It's never not funny.

(That's what she said)

You know, its a stone miracle Ryan isn't referred to as TOW 'round these parts.

Because books.

Thank you, Barb!

JZ, that's a great site. I used to walk by that building all the time when I was at NYU. The Village is one of my favorite neighborhoods -- so many old gems still standing. There's a coffee place on MacDougall with a tin ceiling you would go nuts for.

Look at this gorgeousness in Greenwich Village -- and it's still there, even.

Even older looking in the later era, actually. That elevated railway made 6th Ave. a tunnel.

The name of one of the teams at trivia tonight was "Next year, the ice dancers will wear Snuggies."

Probably Caffe Reggio. I have taken many a Buffista there.

It has what they claim as America's first espresso machine.

Speaking of trivia, have y'all heard about Plushenko still whining about the silver medal. He apparently declared on his website that it wasn't a silver medal, it was a platinum medal.
