Saffron: But we've been wed. Aren't we to become one flesh? Mal: Well, no, uh... We're still two fleshes here, and I think that your flesh ought to sleep somewhere else.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Oh, huh, cause it was a total "aha" phrase for me. Because I really don't/can't do girly on a day to day, but I do love to put it on sometimes (see: prom) and it does feel very much like costuming.

Yeah. I see a big difference between doing that stuff 'cause its fun and doing that stuff out of some sense of... duty.

I generally wear no makeup. I had a co-worker this BUGGED unduely. I told her I didn't like the way it felt .I meant the sense of "need" as much as the tactile but before I could get to that she responded with glee, as if the sun had risen, and her mission in her life had been declared "Oh! That's just because you don't know HOW to apply makeup"

"I got an A in makeup"

Seriously. I can do it. I just can't be bothered the bulk of the time.

(Actually, I can't do a liquid eyeliner cat eye and this pains me. Plei tried once and couldn't quite pull it off to her own satisfaction and she's the QUEEN. I think the shape of my eye is just wrong for it.)

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Back in the 70s, when Hubby and I were 16, a boy had a lot more leeway in hopping a ship and seeing the world than a girl did.

I never let reality get in the way of what I wanted my adventures to be. I never knew a 16 year old boy who would have been any likelier than me to get to hop a ship and see the world anyway. That was a culture and not a gender thing in my world.

People need to stop pronouncing "ACL" as a word. It's distracting to hear ackles talk from over the cube wall.

Ohh, funky tights. Nice call, Perkins.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I think riding boots are sort of classic, Jesse, aren't they?

I guess so? I don't know, I just need new everyday boots, I suddenly realized over the weekend.

What I really need is to DO MY FREAKING WORK. ISTG.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

There seems to have been a furry convention in Addison this weekend

I wonder how you go about being paid to make costumes for furries? It seems like it might be lucrative.

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

I don't know if you read the article, Sophia, but yes, there does seem to be quite the market for it.

I am getting no work done due to snow again. It's hard to get started on a spreadsheet when I think we might be let out early.

Hook up with some furries. (Not "hook up," like, HOOK UP, but, you know, thanks to the internet, there's gotta be a way for furries who need costumes and people who make costumes to intersect and come to a mutually agreeable pecuniary arrangement.)
