Everything looks good from here... Yes. Yes, this is a fertile land, and we will thrive. We will rule over all this land, and we will call it... 'This Land.' I think we should call it 'your grave!' Woo! Really close lightning & thunder! And I've got to go rescue laundry from the basement and I'm not sure where my flashlight is....

I love having my own washer and dryer.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Washer/dryer in-house is one of the joys of my life, right now. I loathe shared laundry rooms.

I can do laundry ANY DAMNED TIME. I can wash a load and run out, knowing it'll still be there waiting when I get back. I can hear the buzzer in my LR (it's in the basement right under this room.) It's mine.mine.mine.

And mine. In my adorable little house.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I wish I had my own washer and dryer. Because I'd totally do my laundry naked.

Yeah, since I have one uncovered window in the LR, and the basement ones are as well? No.

They pay me in WOIMS

I was pissed on Thursday when I got to my building's laundry room at 7:30am to find that all five washing machines were already being used.

When I got home that evening, at 6:30pm, when it's usually crowded, it was empty.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

JZ and Matilda are currently at the laundromat. After almost 30+ years of laundromats I can't even imagine the luxury of just doing a load. I get to haul two 80 lbs bags up and down the stairs and down the block

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

We have a coin-op washer and dryer on the premises, which is convenient.

Oh, using a laundromat is usually worse than sharing a laundry room in the building I live in. (I say "usually" because a laundromat is less likely to have every machine in use.) The last time I had to use a laundromat on a regular basis was in '87-'88. The laundromat was about 5 blocks away, and usually I'd be lazy and drive there....

My leak adventure gets more interesting: it isn't just that the water is coming in under the door, it's coming through the door. As in, through the panels. Oh my god. When I made the offer, I wanted a credit for all the doors, but no, seller countered with replacing this one. There was a reason I wanted to do it myself. Anyway, storm door will solve this and I now know I want to caulk and heavily repaint this (new) door. And, since I have the receipt, I am going to call the people who did it and bitch. Maybe I'll get lucky and they'll do the work for free.
