Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.
You The Lovely Bones people are crazy. I just wish I could remember enough about the damned book to be able to back up my entirely valid and reasoned point.
I did consume it through books on CD, which might alter things. All that persists clearly was my massive annoyance.
I haven't read as much as I should have over the past decade, but I'm pretty sure Nalo Hopkinson ranks up there, and Neil Gaiman.
I skimmed over how few votes many (nay, all) of those books got. I toss out their results! Bah!

ita, I really loved the humanity in that book. The amount of forgiveness and acceptance of loving people for who they are overwhelmed me. I remember being so thankful for the inherent and implicit goodness of that book.
I don't know if that would change on cd. I can't deal with audible books because the reader either talks too slowly or too quickly. I am picky! I get annoyed by voices too. About the only one I like is David Sedaris reading from his stuff.
