Someone must have signed the kids up for a magazine subscription. It's Focus on the Family's Clubhouse, Jr. I have no idea who gifted it but I'm sort of annoyed. I haven't read the content of the magazine yet, but the materials we got does say they include bible stories. If this was my MiL, I'm going to have to suck it up and deal. I may just have to chuck it into the recycling bin as soon as it comes in.

VAT is on goods and services. Some things are exempt (medical, etc.), but you have to agree to a minimum VAT to join the EU. The actual rate can vary from country to country.
