Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

She then proceded to tell me that large was bigger.

Oh, well, if it's bigger.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I'm off to Meyers in a bit for their Annual warehouse sale. I don't know why the crowds don't bother me there, but they don't. It's not quite as packed as the mall, though.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

She then proceded to tell me that large was bigger.
Oh, well, if it's bigger.

When this used to happen to me in movie theatres, if the clerk was too pushy I would always let them know that I did not want the super jumbo whatever drink because then I had to pee several times during the movie. Usually they stopped trying to push me.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Smonster and amyth got me out of the apartment complex today. It was lovely—a whole wide, slightly drizzly, world. I also managed to find a lovely gift for a friend of mine who has inadvertently become the sysadmin for her company. It's a USB drive pendant with a lovely, delicate scrolling purple pattern on it. I think she could wear it as jewelry if she wanted (she loves purple), and then have something to drag hard drive repair tools from station to station as needed. Score!

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

LJ is hating on me right now. Frustrating. I just want to post a reply, dammit.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

It's not 3pm yet and I'm knackered. I've gone shopping with Matilda, and got stuff for stew and chili and cookies.

Came back and made a huge pot of the Jack Devine stew for Emmett and myself, and the Moroccan spiced veggie chili for JZ and Matilda.

I need to get out of the house. I think it's time to shoo everybody out.

Is Matilda vegetarian?

No, but the chili is more bite size. The stew has big chunks of beef. Though she has quit on the chili now and is eating a banana.

She doesn't eat a lot of meat, though.

Gah! I inadvertently left the door to my apartment cracked, and my cat levered it open and went wandering. It's dark and there's a busy road at the end of the driveway. And I'm still clomping around on crutches, which puts a damper on my cat catching skills. Luckily smonster and amyth came out to help me look, and the little fugitive flirt of a feline went right up to smonster for easy catching. He's now sulking in the spare room, because I won't let him have any fun.
