Well, a gathering is brie, mellow song stylings; shindig, dip, less mellow song stylings, perhaps a large amount of malt beverage, and hootenanny, well, it's chock full of hoot, just a little bit of nanny.

I like the pendant a lot, ita. I'm glad the arrow is spinnable.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I usually try to at least get my immediate family Christmas presents, but I think I'm gonna give it a pass this year. Don't have the money or energy. I do need to get my sister something for her birthday at the end of the month, though.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I like that pendant a lot too, ita.

I've been using TJ's environmentally sound dishwasher detergent, and I like it okay, especially the price.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

MMMMMMMmmmmmmMMMMMMM! Beef patties!

Kat took the words right out of my mouth. Sadly, no patty in it.

I hate writing those letters, Kat, the "how do I say 'average' nicely?" ones. For those students, I tend to focus on the student's progress since I can't necessarily praise the writing itself.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

That's a beautiful pendant.

And, oh, ouch, Kat. I've been on the receiving end of a kind dismissal, and, as much as it stung me, I didn't stop to consider that it probably sucked for the professor too.

ICompletelyON, here's Matilda's first recognizably human figure drawing, from her visit to the pediatrician on Monday.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

At mcd, the cashier asked me twice if I wanted large, I said no. She then proceded to tell me that large was bigger. I got short with her.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Though, at first, I wondered why you were thanking a high end designer for the internet.

Me too! Sad.

ita, the other guy is Daniel Eric Gold. [link]

I just dropped off many many flyers for the Senate race here. Then on my way home (only a couple of blocks) I was sure I was going to walk by an Au Bon Pain or similar, but I didn't. And I was STARVING. So I had to run home and eat a Hot Pocket. The end.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

If you were going to get a bagel at APB, it would have sucked.

I like their cheese bagels! Not as bagels per se, but as cheesy bread products. Anyway, I wanted a sandwich.

JZ, Love her drawing! Oh! I've been meaning to ask, how did you approach preschool for Matilda?

I have five more letters to write. I just finished one for a kid whose capabilities are not matched by his school record. It was really fun to write his letter because I really like this student and I've known him for 2 years in a variety of settings (advisory, English, Journalism, Academic Decathlon) and he's just kinda a cool kid (he picks up recycling every day at school, even though he is constantly mocked, because Dad doesn't have and refuses to get a job and he wants to help his mom in anyway he can).
