Fred: It's the pictures in my mind that are getting me. It's like being stuck in a really bad movie with those Clockwork Orange clampy things on my eyeballs. Wesley: Why imagine? Reality's disturbing enough.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Yeah. The correct answer is about 3% (i.e. they're eliminating 1/32nd).

Yeah, 20% of 16 is around 3. I really don't know what they were trying to say. My next guess was that they were, for some reason, eliminating 20% of the meat on that particular tray -- the patties were divided among three trays -- but that tray had four patties, so 20% of that would be almost a full patty.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

That hamburger math made my brain spin.

Now I have to do the math to work out how to only do 40 hours this week. I do this instead of troubleshooting SQL, which makes me a bad person. But I'm not a developer, right? I'm a business analyst.

When I got takeout from this place last time I reflexively tipped 20%. When I checked my bank balance they'd just deducted the meal charge. This time I was closer to 15%, but I still felt awkward when presented with that blank spot on the credit card slip. I'm not sure when I became such a softie.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Apparently the other thing is spaghetti and tomato sauce. Eh. I wanted to do it with bacon and peas, but I have no peas in the freezer! One of the things I like least about having moved: I no longer have all of the things I always have in the house.

We're getting pizza for dinner. I'm not sure if my healing gums can handle tomato sauce yet, so I'm getting one with olive oil, soy cheese, eggplant, and spinach. My parents are getting pepperoni and pineapple or something like that.

Our wings are not tired.

ita, the first swipe a restaurant does usually doesn't include the tip amount; with BofA, it takes a couple of days for the amount with tip to be deducted. Don't know if it's the same for your bank?

Salad for dinner. It's all I really feel like.

Figured out the trick to avoid the hoards is to hit the pool by 4:45 on thursdays. Too bad it's hard to get out of work in time for that. Today I just bugged out early since the network was going down at 5 and I'd taken down all our servers already. Nice long swim. God I love this habit.

Right. Dinner. And some business email...

Maybe that's it, javachik. I'm with BofA. I'd never noticed it before. Shame they got me thinking about it--I might never have asked here if I hadn't noticed, and now their tips are going down.

Not that I loved the food anyway, but if I get a Thai craving at work, they're about it.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

Siting in a restaurant waiting for my mother who is almost 15 minutes late. It's extra irritating because I'm only here because she needed me to drive her to costco, and SHE suggested dinner.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

So, I'm making calls for my Senate candidate, and just had a really interesting conversation -- I'm just glad it worked out, because she asked about the health care thing, and I started talking about abortion, and that was totally the right way to go. But man, it sure might not have been.
