What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Buffistas! I have been in a Mood all day, but I need to snap out of it so I can be enthusiastic and engaging when I interview a prospective Rice student in an hour. Give me mood-enhancing Internet material!

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Abstaining Blue Footed Boobies Get Sexier

I'd be the circa 1960 Brigite Bardot of the Blue Footed Boobie world.

Dude, on the plus side: auto journalists!

You could show them your new lightning trick!

The journalists get BBQ AND Scrappy. I think they win!

I'm in a Mood. I don't know why. Today was a good day. Got to talk shop with the mission office guy and got lots of compliments and got to compliment a lot of people. Had an extended hilarious banter session with my favorite platonic geek crush (his dry wit and delivery remind me a lot of Allyson.) Got some tedious crap cleared off my plate. Swam 2000 yds and it was good. So why MOOD?!

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

You can have all my auto journalists, though.

Score!

You could show them your new lightning trick!

No one will let me have Lightening: The Home Edition yet. I need better friends. And a Tesla coil.

I wonder if Dad would let us have a Tesla coil. I bet if I asked, he'd help us build one in my back yard.

I think I just felt Pete flinch without knowing why.

The more I learn, the more I realize how little I know.

I needs one.

brillig

dcp is an enabler.

From the Tesla Coil blurb:

Our unique 50,000 volt capacity generator radiates high frequency energy through space or light flourescent tubes up to two feet away!

Love the exclamation point. I think they have a good grasp of their target audience.

Your backyard would be perfect for a Tesla coil! (Sorry for the uncontrollable flinching you are experiencing, Pete.) Dad can help us build it and Mom can cater. Wheeeee!

I'm trying to decide what to make for dinner. Maybe a penne pasta salad-y thing with chicken. Of course, it's all hypothetical because I'm still at work, but a hungry girl can dream.
