Last night I sent a request through the Tonight Show website for tickets, because, why not? I just got a call *this morning* from a real live person following up on that because their system doesn't work with gmail? Weird. But it does work with hotmail?

Like, they can't send email to gmail? What's up with that? Having a system that can't work with gmail is shooting yourself in the foot.

I just listed my old dresser on craigslist, forgetting about the one piece that always falls off. So I'm trying to fix it, rather than edit the listing. Meh. (It's one of the pieces at the bottom, so once it's in place, it's fine.)
Since the guy's English wasn't great, I didn't ask what that meant. Very odd.
So. If you try to bake vegan cookies from a recipe, don't like the texture of the batter before baking and so add a bunch of flour and oil, then bake them and complain that they taste chalky and are too chewy, and write an article about how therefore vegan cookies are gross, you can get published in the Times! [link] (I very rarely actually stick to a recipe. But I wouldn't write a review of a cookbook based on my own modifications of the recipes.)
(Also, these are banana cookies. Of course the batter is going to be a weird consistency.)

Especially if it's a *baking* recipe and my complaint was about texture. I mean, DUH.
