Ah, my favorite play to end the half.
Natter 64: Yes, we still need you
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
My hearing has been going (not volume, just articulation)and I've been feeling pressure in both of my ears for a while. I am positive that I have two softball-sized balls of wax in both of my ears, and have Buffistas to thank for this assumption. I FINALLY made an appointment for tomorrow afternoon to have the assumed softballs removed. It will be so lovely to hear again.
I think you'll appreciate this: Part 1 and Part 2.
(This is the comic that I've compared to the relationship The Boy and I have. Also: IUD humor! No, really.)
I need to get something fancier than 2 pillows stuffed in an old flannel pillowcase if it is to become part of the decor....
I wish people would stop calling City Year the domestic Peace Corps. We have that! It's called VISTA! Or Americorps!! t /local politics issues
I am being all productive and cooking tonight: repurposed leftovers for dinner, made lunch for tomorrow, then cooked up a pumpkin and roasted the seeds. The plan was to make pumpkin muffins and then maybe cook up something else, but I got distracted by tv and then once almost done with the muffins, realize I do not have enough eggs. So now two mixing bowls of ingrediants are in the fridge and I am frustrated.
still happy with how much I get done if I just don't plop in front of the tv or computer when i get home.

You could get one of those silk mini chaise lounges. Those tempt me a little because the dumb one looks like she ought to have something like that, next to a crystal goblet full of Fancy Feast.
There's probably something in between those two that would work.
Eggs! That's what I forgot at the grocery store today.
Right now I'm wondering if I should address a playground bully with Owen's teacher.
Cash, caveat, I'm not a parent, but bullying is one of my nasty sore spots. If bullies get away with it, it will just go on and on; bullies made my life hell in school right up through 7th grade, and it only stopped then because I changed schools. No adult ever intervened. Bullies don't grow up and stop, they don't stop until someone stops them.

I've been monitoring the situation. The thing that pissed me off was I SAW the kid mocking Owen today while I was volunteering in the classroom. When Owen said the kid said, "stupid stuff to him at recess" I told him we didn't talk about our friends that way. Owen said, "He's not my friend. He's mean to me." Then the kid gave us both this evil smirk and laughed. I told Owen that it doesn't matter what Tyler does, just what HE does and we don't treat people like that.
But in the first Open House we went to, Owen mentioned to me that Tyler called him an idiot on the playground, I've been keeping my eye on that kid. If he wants to make it to six, he'd better leave my kid alone.
Yeah, that sounds like you should tell the teacher.
