Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

well, I'd rather not have a party at all, but since that is not an option - if I have to go, I at least want to have a decent time.

Yes, this. In my new office (can I still call it new when I've been here over a year?) we have a big department lunch with gift exchange which is usually fairly enjoyable. There is also a huge office thing that they do right after the first of the year (I guess to save money?), but I skipped that last year and don't intend on going this time around.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

I offer this without comment.

but it has no arms, isn't that the purpose of a snuggie?

I look more rad than Lutheranism

My current couch and chair, though I like them, are almost ten years old, and I wouldn't have bought this nice clawy fabric if I'd known there would be cats on them someday.

Those are the exact reasons we bought a new couch. Including needing a smaller one than my current Blue Behemoth, which I bought when I lived in an apartment with more open floor space than The Boy's house has.

Physics Bumper Sticker

I remember seeing that in the Air & Space Museum at the DC F2F, and several of us having a good geeky laugh over it.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

I am relieved that our department cancelled the holiday party this year 'cause of budget stuff.

Our holiday party got moved to January so that we could have it with all our new employees.

We usually do a Secret Santa in December.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Isn't snuggie billed as the blanket that won't slip off? I'm sure enclosing the limbs together is warmer, but I wonder how one gets in.

brillig

I wonder how one gets in.

Lots of wriggling. It looked like a two-piece thingie.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

I offer this without comment.

But the feet would get cold!

Art Crawl!!!

Well, no one's reported a cat to animal control or the county humane society and I've now listed him with our local no-kill shelter.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Oh, sumi, I hope you find him soon.

The first thing I need to insulate when I get home is my toes. That snuggie 2.0 is the inverse.

msbelle, I would at least make myself a plate and sit. At an empty table. But I would blanch at the idea of a gift exchange, because I doubt I'd want what anyone would get me, and I'd get something crap for my giftee.
