Lorne: Once the word spreads you beat up an innocent old man, well, the truly terrible will think twice before going toe-to-toe with our Avenging Angel. Spike: Yes. The geriatric community will be soiling their nappies when they hear you're on the case. Bravo.

Art Crawl!!!

Do you think it would stand up to three big dogs?

Scrappy, my neighborhood has a yahoo group where that ype of thing is often discussed and people are recommended. The neighborhood thing is focused on familes (neghborhoodnamefamiles is it's name), so you might look on yahoo or google groups to see if there is something like that.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

Do you think it would stand up to three big dogs?

Probably, but it depends on how much they'd abuse it.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

The standout here is Slashdot which takes male geekdom to new heights with 82% male users.

Sadly, I really wish that number were a standout. (Not even touching the "heights" part.)

I would have expected lj to be more female-tilted.

I betchya if you broke it down by country, Russian usage is nothing like what we're used to.

This. The majority of LJ's traffic these days goes to the cyrillic sites (this DW post has some interesting stats and I recommend reading her stuff on social media trends in general), and it's used much more like a general blogging service (think Blogger or Wordpress) than the tightly networked, talk to your circle of friends place that it is in American/West European fandom.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Picasso Superhero Images are Amazing Artworks

Perhaps everyone has dream to be a superhero some day or at least have some superhero powers to save the world, help people or simply impress his/her loved ones. If you too belong to this category and also have a love for art, these Picasso inspired images of superheroes would surely impress you.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

couch

Oooh, Steph, I thought that couch would be too big for my dinky "cozy" living room, but I just measured, and it will fit! There's a store about an hour from me; I foresee a road trip coming on. My current couch and chair, though I like them, are almost ten years old, and I wouldn't have bought this nice clawy fabric if I'd known there would be cats on them someday.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I now have a working printer! I really feel like a computer grown-up, with the wireless and printer and all. Not a wireless printer; that's going a little too far. But still.

my department is SO lame. less than half of the respondants thus far will participate in the gift exchange. Which means, they will come for free food and stand around, but don't want to participate in anything. Last year people wouldn't even sit down and visit with one another, they literally stood around waiting for food and hovered over food tables, not even making plates to take and eat at a table.

Your department is full of people like me! Though often, I forgo even showing up...
