So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

We won't even mock. We'll skip that step, 'cause we love you. Also, why would we? We love you!

In the meantime, enjoy stuff. You deserve it!

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Hamster rides teeny-tiny subway (photos)

I'm a photographer for the [New York City] DA's office and there is a women there who makes these models (trains, apts, buildings, etc) for court cases, as a visual aid for the jury. The train is perfectly hamster sized so I brought my super tame hamster into work yesterday for a little photo shoot. They came out better than expected. I'm really excited about them.

Coding and Sleeping

I had a mixed Thanksgiving weekend. Thanksgiving went well and the kids had a great time playing with their cousins. We did a split dinner where I went with the kids to my family's gather and my wife went to hers. She doesn't like the big gathering and she said she doesn't feel like she fits in with my family. I do have a bit of an inferiority complex going to events since I feel like the loser of my generation relatively speaking. That's a bit skewed because I'm also the only one of my generation that doesn't have a good chunk of inherited money, but still it's a bit of an ego blow. Overall good though.

Friday, Leif had a stomach bug, and I had some misc. stuff for my wife that I didn't know I'd have to do. Saturday I ended up helping someone move since their expected help didn't show up. Sunday, I had to help with the clean up from the move and do some composting related stuff for my wife, again unexpected. So there was very little relaxing during my four day weekend.

1:30 am this morning Emaryn woke up and threw up on the carpet, so I didn't get great sleep last night and she's not feeling great.

So, not a great weekend for the kids.

Meh. Nothing terrible, but not a great break.

Always Anti-fascist!

Well, I mock people I love rather frequently...I wouldn't want you to think something's wrong with me. More than the obvious.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Friends with benefits.

Oh, I should have known that.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Oh, I should have known that.

And don't think I'm not judging you because you didn't.

Gud, that doesn't sound breakish at all. I'm sorry.

Women Dominate Most Social Networking Sites, Survey Finds

The Pingdom study, which looked social networking sites (like Twitter, Facebook, and MySpace) as well as social news sites (like Digg, Reddit, and Slashdot), found that 84% of the sites (16 out of 19) had more female than male users.

Only three of the 19 sites had more male users:

The social news sites Digg, Reddit and Slashdot have significantly more male users than female. The standout here is Slashdot which takes male geekdom to new heights with 82% male users.

Woe to the fucking wicked.

It's probably just my corner of the thing, but I would have expected lj to be more female-tilted.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

GO, Allyson, with the benefits having and the Canadian email flirting!

ION, LAistas--We have finally decided to hire a cleaning person once or twice a month. Does anyone know of a good person in The Valley? How does one find a cleaning person anyways? I am loathe to just blindly call an ad on Craig's List for an individual and on the other hand, I hear cleaning services underpay their employees.
