Lorne: Snakes? Uh-huh. And they came out of your what? Okay. Okay, well, did they get up there themselves or is this part of a, you know, a thing? No, I'm not judging...Do we fight snakes? Angel: Only if they're giant. Or demons. Or giant demons. Are they giant demon snakes? Lorne: Well, unless this guy's 30 feet tall, I'm thinking they're of the garden variety.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Weird Facebook intrigue: I got an email saying someone someone I haven't seen since 1987 had added me as a friend. It was a different name, but he said the other name in his message. So I don't know if he's just incognito on Facebook, or what. But then I go to Facebook, and the friend request isn't there! Weird.

DCistas - do you know if the Pentagon Row ice rink rents toddler-sized skates? We're trying to figure out a game plan for today, and Pentagon Row is practically across the street from my in-laws house. I have no idea! The name situation is megan walker-style, where I knew him with a very specific ethnic name, but he's on facebook with a very generic name.

Is it too soon to buy a wreath for my door? Will it totally dry out and fall apart in a month?

Good lord -- the mystery childhood friend wrote back, and he's "retired" from financial services, and living in Shanghai. Bananas!

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Ugh. Sleepless night. I'm exhausted but not sleepy. Today promises to be very long.
