OH! I've been meaning to say SUE! we got the stuff THANK YOU! because I suck at remembering to send email.

Erin, I don't think the video game matters, but given my exposure to men (my father, brother, and son), I would say that expecting something without asking for it is a thought pattern that will result in frustration many times over.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I actually think that's a reasonable rule of thumb for dealing with anyone.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

I agree.

My grandmother brings me stuff without my asking, but it's not usually stuff I want!

Speaking of grandmothers, I'm sorry, smonster.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

One more day of work this week, yay.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

But, but -- I do this for him! I bring him stuff ALL THE TIME!!

Maybe this is why he's my first live-in reltionship.

I am running into the whole "I do these things, why can't you try to anticipate my needs as a sign of love" thing, and while I realize it's a differnet mind pattern/societal upbringing/not-thinking-reciprocally blah blah relationshipcakes, it's still very frustrating!

But he is over there assiduously scraping the pounds of cat fur off the sofa, like I asked him, and he's being very meticulous about it, so I am just going to have to work my way through this weird boy-mind thing.

And it was Mario Bros. -- which version, do not ask, I dunno.

He played for 7 hours. @@

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

It is 6:32, and I am going to bed. I may fall asleep before I manage to eat, or after (I am waiting for food to cool).

As my therapist once said, when I said much the same thing about a friend of mine, "Yes, but he's not you. Stop expecting people to think the way you do." That was a HUGE thing for me.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

And it was Mario Bros. -- which version, do not ask, I dunno.

It was New Super Mario Bros. Wii.

He played for 7 hours.

As you do!
