Actually, when you put it that way, it makes me want to reclaim it as being fine.
See, me too. Some of the other phrases people dislike, I can understand, because they're being used in a way that's insincere. I am totally sincere when I say something was no problem.
"You call is important to us," however, is bullshit.
"You call is important to us," however, is bullshit.
Especially since it's nearly always, if not always, delivered by a recorded voice.
Anybody know how to set a print area (or something like that) on a PDF? Is it even possible? Should I take this to Tech?

I don't think you can do that. You can select what pages to print, but I don't think you can get any more granular.
Why are work people making me so stabby?? I am working on something that really doesn't matter much -- please, for the love of god, let the little things go! We do not need 10000 drafts, with a hundred people to review each!
Why are work people making me so stabby??
Eerie...I was just coming over to post the very same thing. Maybe we can help each other out a little? Criss-cross?
At least my work people should be leaving for the holiday soon. Seriously, if the person reading the thing doesn't care about X, we do not need to have YET ANOTHER conversation about X!!
OK, deep breaths.

Strangers on a Train?
Oh, my god was that Muppet video hilarious!! It really did have everyone--even the Newscaster, and I haven't seen him since the Muppet Show!
Sigh. I miss Jim Henson.
But the new minds at Henson Associates (or whatever they're called now) are doing well with the franchise.
Oh man, I'm irritated. I wanted to take Monday off because this weekend is going to be fucking hectic, but couldn't because our other on-site team leader and the remote lead are both off.
Except no. On-site person marked that day way early in the year just in case and forgot about it and never bothered to say anything until I pointed out just now when she scheduled a meeting on Monday.
(Remote lead is out the entire week. And I'm not sure how that works out, exactly, given that she put us all in the shit by taking off the
entire month
of April. And I counted the days - 17 consecutive PTO days. We get 18 total. So how exactly is she off the entire week following a holiday?)
I wish I had headphones so I could watch Muppets.
Downstairs and upstairs bathrooms -- clean except for mopping.
Grandma's lace tablecloth -- handwashed and drying.
Leaf in table put in
Pots and pans -- handwashed and drying.
Upstairs guestroom swept and mopped.
Upstairs litterbox changed.
Upstairs, office and kitchen trash -- changed.
2 loads of laundry in process.
Guest room bed stripped.
Went to HR to finish sub paperwork.

Ok, my boyfriend is sick -- spent the last two days home -- but he spent all day playing a video game while I did all this! He got the leaf out, and helped me with that -- that's it!!
I get that he's ill, but he could have at least brought me a glass of tea or something.

That depends, which video game was he playing?
