I'm not sure what the source is. Dana probably knows. She knows things.
It's from Fanlore.
It's from about a week ago. Ancient in fannish terms!
Oh, good. I thought it was from, like, a year ago or something. I'm glad I'm not TOO behind the curve.

Me-OW! Cat survives outage-causing run-in
CARROLLTON, Ill. - A cat went from meow to ow when officials say it accidentally made contact with a substation's fuse, causing an outage to about 1,500 homes and businesses in southwestern Illinois.
The feline apparently survived the encounter early Monday in the Greene County city of Carrollton.
Workers responding to the outage found the cat still on the ground several feet from where it apparently touched the fuse. An Ameren spokeswoman says the animal eventually managed to get up and walk away.
Most of the affected Ameren customers had their power restored within hours.
I hope the cat gets superpowers out of it.

eta: My cat found the video interesting and informative.
But perhaps this is just a testament to the fact that I eat out too much.
Well, no more Alessio! Next time you are around here you should try Lum-Ka-Naad or Village Tandoor.
Did I read someone say they can't make pasta on a weeknight? I feel guilty for how much I make, because that is practically the easiest thing to cook ever.
Tonight I feel I should get rid of all my fresh veggies before leaving town, so I think it's a grilled corn/steamed spinach/plum tomato salsa night.

Yeah, but she means make it. Like, from flour and stuff.
Well, it was Vortex who said she doesn't do it. I'm surprised she cooks anything on a weeknight, with the amount of detail she goes into. I just toss some stuff into a pot and leave it alone for a while. That's not how she rolls.
Tech guy! Come back from your other conversation and come back to your desk! I have questions for you...
(FTR, I do not block Vortex, I just saw someone quote it while skimming and was too lazy to go back and find out who said it.) After reading that ragu recipe the other day I bow to her culinary prowess. But I understand not wanting to make fresh pasta on a weeknight. I doubt I will ever want to do that.
ETA2: I'm so lazy, I just remembered I don't even have school nights. I could make pasta all day if I wanted to.
Homemade pasta is like home made ice cream. It's just that much better.
I don't mind the mechanics of making it. It's the drying of it that annoys me. I don't have a rack anymore.
I got my voter registration in the mail! And a good thing, because I just spent two hours making calls for my candidate... Along with the registration was a think saying they are looking for poll workers. I am seriously considering signing up.
