Wesley: Illyria can be...difficult. Testing her might be hard without getting someone seriously hurt. Angel: We'll make Spike do it. Wesley: Good.

Our wings are not tired.

Work week is done so I can resub again to Natter. Sucks to have to bail during the week, but too few hours in the day. And now I find 1159 posts! So, skippage.

And now I am being taunted by the TJ having folks. Wah.

I'm going somewhere with some teenagers to get food. Not sure yet where. Guess I should make a plan. Should be a place with wine.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

But I'll miss the strawberry lemonade, which they stop carrying around the holidays and then don't get it again until the spring. I could drink that stuff year 'round.

Mmm, yeah.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

This is what happens to you when you fall into a black hole:

Falling into a Black Hole sucks!

  • Tearing your extremities (head, arms, legs) from your torso,
  • tearing the individual muscles, tendons, ligaments, etc., apart from your body,
  • tearing individual cells apart from one another,
  • tearing the organelles inside each cell apart, destroying cells themselves,
  • tearing the individual molecules apart into atoms,
  • tearing your atoms apart into nuclei and electrons, and finally
  • tearing the individual nuclei apart into, eventually, quarks and gluons.

Should be a place with wine.

Reminds me of last April, when Mom and I were driving back to NJ from Florida and pulling into the South Carolina town where we were going to spend the night. I pointed the car in the direction where the sign said there were two restaurants, Cracker Barrel and some local eatery/hotel. As we approached the hotel, I saw the sign said "Fine Spirits" and told Mom we were going to be drinking--er, eating there. Good choice, actually, because dinner was excellent, the wine (for Mom) and beer (for me) was terrific, and the gift shop had some great little locally made baskets for Mom to add to her collection.

hip deep in pie

A university just posted a job ad which says that they will start reviewing applications November 15.

It oculd be a reposting. But I've seen ads smilar to that where there was a deadline, but they said they would keep accepting applications past the deadline, until they find the right candidate.

I first read the link as "Black Hole Socks" and thought oooh, I need to get some of those!

I have to say, I'm against touching in the office.

Yuppers. I hugged my officemate of 8 years on his last day ever. I even cried. But I'd never touched him before. It was weird.

Whee, 50+ laps. Goal for these last 3 days is a total over 150. And I've realized I do have enough time to do everything this weekend, and I'm not in the mood to do my nails tonight, so they can wait until tomorrow.

Also? I really need to get this house organized. It's getting cluttery, and I need to keep that under control.

Everyone has experienced the heavenly crack of the dark chocolate almonds with sea salt and turbinado sugar, right?

Are such things available at TJs?

And more importantly, WHY DIDN'T I KNOW THIS?!?
