This weekend: tomorrow I am Discovering Martinez. A bunch of restaurants will have free samples and the theater I have had season tickets to forever will have an open house thing - they are trying to convince all the people who think Martinez is, I don't know, really far away from Walnut Creek or something that they should keep going to plays out there since they (the theater) lost their Concord location. Martinez is closer to me, but I'm going to take advantage of the wooing. Sunday I'm taking DH to the airport in the morning and then I don't know.

I think I would like ecstasy so much that that is all I would want to do if I did it.

My weekend will probably be busy.

I need to work on a coldframe plant growing thingie I'm building. Possibly painting. I need to clean up a bit in the basement. I need to help my daughter study. There's something I'm forgetting. In between doing all that I'm going to try to sneak in some writing and doing a critique.

I think that's right. I will say, I have never been shopping in a crowd the weekend after Thanksgiving -- I don't go anywhere Friday morning, of course, and never to Costco that weekend, either.

Really?? Apparently I am the anti-ita. I have never really understood the appeal of downers. Like pot. I do not need extra incentive to sit around, be slothful, and eat more food. I can do PLENTY of that on my own, seriously, people.

I tend to suffer from stress and anxiety. Uppers tend to make that worse, and downers tend to make that better.

The parents are in town - they are meeting mac and I tonight and we wil all dinner together after mac's therapy.

tomorrow they are coming in to watch mac's karate class, then we'll go eat Ethiopian food and they'll come hang at our house (which means you can add clean house to my Friday night). Hopefully my mom will help mac with some home work and my dad will get all my Christmas stuff out of the storage room.

Sunday - they are meeting us early to see mac ice skate for the second time, and then church, then they are off to the airport. Mac and I will go eat fast food and then I'll watch football.

Emmett's school play is tonight. It's a spoofy riff on fairy tales and he plays: (1) The Big Bad Wolf (with awesome NFL endzone dance after he blows the house down); (2) Baby Bear (his friend Jack is Papa Bear. I have to nudge Jack to say, "Who's your daddy?); (3) The Voice In the Toilet.

It's also tomorrow night so Matilda can watch her brother do his victory dance and see Jack (who she has a crush on).

Sunday it's baseball tryouts for next season. Emmett's moving up to Juniors this year, which is on an MLB regulation size field.
