Mmm. Wife soup. I must've done good.

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

I always thought boffins were a species of flightless bird.

I think those are puffins.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I always thought boffins were a species of flightless bird.

And Puffin Boffins are flightless scientists.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

What are people doing this weekend?

Sadly, no E. working-PORTFOLIO-working-PORTFOLIO-PORTFOLIO-cleaning the house for Mom's arrival-ZOMG PORTFOLIO is pretty much my life for the next 5 days.

In HS, we did a hell of a lot of drinking - full-strength Everclear was legal in AK then, and man did we take advantage of that. A lot of pot (you can get some of the best strains up there), and I would baby-sit my friends who were on 'shrooms or LSD. Cocaine and heroin were incredibly hard to get all the way up there, so only the rich kids or the truly screwed-up had access.

In college, my roommate and I did our fair share of E (OMG love- that is a dangerous drug as there was no downside I could see/feel)

You never had the serotonin trough? That's the only drawback for me.

And Boffin Puffins is just dirty and wrong. Unless you're a puffin.

I know my own heart and understand my fellow man. But I am made unlike anyone I have ever met. I dare to say I am like no one in the whole world. - Anne Lister

The only kind of bad thing was not being able to get to sleep after (forgive my ignorance if that is what the seratonin trough is). But even that was kind of fun as I had company in my sleeplessness and we would get very silly.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I thought the main risk w/ ecstasy was hyponatremia - every time I've seen an article on water intoxication, there's a footnote to the effect that the vast majority of people at risk for it are marathon runners and people on E.

brillig

A Canadian death ray . . .

I, for one, welcome our new overlords from the North.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I have never even seen a hypothetical appeal to uppers.

Me neither. Which is odd, in that they are most likely to be therapeutically useful to me on a regular basis. But they don't seem fun at all.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

This weekend, I have dinner plans Saturday and Sunday, have to bake for the Saturday plans, but that's about it. I think I'm going to go to Lord & Taylor and the library this afternoon, and I need to do some neighborhood exploration.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Hivemind question: I have to go to Costco either this weekend (right before Thanksgiving) or next weekend (Black Friday weekend). Which one is likely to be worse in terms of OMG people?
