A year and a half ago, I could have eviscerated him with my thoughts. Now I can barely hurt his feelings. Things used to be so much simpler.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I just feel that regular streets should not be named "Highway," you know?

Nora, it's in Roslindale.

Google street view makes navigating SO much easier. I'm very visually direction oriented. I can pretty much find my way most anywhere if I've been there once.

I wish I'd been able to swim tonight. Uhg.

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

Little kids can even learn second languages spoken by neither of their parents, as long as they get enough direct interaction in it.

This is like 60%+ of the kids in LAUSD, FWIW.

I made my first "drug" bust at school. It was, unfortunately not a real drug, just whippets. I feel like a real high school teacher now.

ah... yeah, I can't help you. That's right next to JP, and you know how I feel about that place!

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

What the hell is wrong with people? Some college-age idiots had a table on the sidewalk outside of the post office, plastered with pictures of Obama with a Hitler mustache. I told them they should be ashamed of themselves.

Oh, ugh, Dana. We've got them here too, or had them until the lousy weather drove them away. Ours are all LaRouchites, and thus hardly worth scolding.

Man, if I get this job, I'm going to be pissed I'm not living in JP!

Yeah, OK -- I once had a walk-to-work situation, and it did make everything else seem really far away....
