hip deep in pie

Speaking of being consumed alive...I think Oz is tenderizing me again. Making biscuits on me, followed by licking.

My mother used to chase me with Lobster all the time. But then when I was very weee, I used to love watching her skin rabbits.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I've only had whole lobster once. I was a kid - I got to pick it out of the tank. Then I felt bad for being the agent of its demise once I had it on my plate, and was unable to eat the whole thing. Which made me feel weird, as I agree with ita that if I'm gonna eat some animal I should be OK with its death.

Hmmm... maybe I should go out for lobster some day soon. Usually I go out for crab legs at Cy's Crab Shack (or whatever it's called) on Western just South of Irving Park - any Chicagoistas know other good places for seafood?

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

What the hell is wrong with people? Some college-age idiots had a table on the sidewalk outside of the post office, plastered with pictures of Obama with a Hitler mustache. I told them they should be ashamed of themselves.

I also wonder if there are regulations about protests outside federal buildings, but I suspect they were just far enough away to get away with it.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

oh, I meant to post that I just listened to the podcast for the TAL about bad banks and I freaked OUT when they reported the bit about how the debt of US citizens EQUALS the GDP! And the last time that equation was at 100% was 1929!! Man we have a debt problem like WOAH!

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Oh, this is brilliant: A friend of mine has an opening at her company. A coworker just emailed me saying another former coworker was applying, so could I put in a good word? So I email my friend, and she tells me she's seen a resume from a third coworker! Eeeenteresting.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

It's mostly funny because I wonder if emailing coworker knows that applying coworker is applying.

Miss Kitty has been wandering around the house meowing plaintively for the last hour. Her litter box is clean, she has fresh water and food. Petting her doesn't seem to make a difference.

Wish I could speak kitty.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I had a chance to quickly flip through People's Most Beeyotiful Man issue in the supermarket today, and, yum. Robert Pattinson aside, some really delicious choices. One of my favourite years to date, with bonus Jerry from Sliders in a Speedo.
