Of course, now the singing in my head is Autotuned....
I guess I could work on something else, instead of just waiting.

Man, I took the express bus this morning instead of the subway and it was SO AWESOME. Huge comfy seats! Super fast! If only it weren't $5.50 per ride, I'd be doing this every freaking day.
I rode my bike to work today. Accidentally rode over both a smashed pumpkin and a dead squirrel.
I think my bike needs a wash.
oh reminds me that the pumpkin I was decorating with fall leaves for Thanksgiving needs to get tossed tonight. the whole top is a mush.
Airplane advice needed - my grandmother has offered to fly the whole family down to Florida for Christmas (and pay for the hotel too), so I'm booking our plane tix now. Naturally, since this is all very last minute, things are mostly filled up.
If there are only 4 seats left on a flight and they're scattered throughout the plane, what do you think my chances are of getting someone to switch seats so that D can sit next to at least one parent? Should I grit my teeth and book the 7am flight instead?
The 7am flight, while being a total shite time, might be a better bet. IME, Em travelled far better early in the morning than later in the afternoon. But, you know your kid better than I.
Will they even let you book a seat for him if there's not an adjacent one?
I'm sure a single passenger will switch, though. I would. Well, as long as I didn't have to give up my window, I would.
I know early sucks, but I find the earlier I get a flight, the easier it is for me to manage getting mac and I through the process (security is a PITA with mac's leg brace) because there are a lot less people everywhere.

I'm pretty sure they have to -- a kid that little can't fly alone.
The website will apparently let a 2 year-old sit in a row by himself, yeah. But I'm now thinking we should take the earlier flight for less overall craziness (traffic getting there, airport lines etc).
