Our network is Discworld, the router is The Klax Tower and the wireless extender in the office is The Ramtops. And then DH's desktop is called Elrond and I have purely descriptive non-whimsical names for all my stuff, so the system breaks down.
I do want to name something beige though. It's amusing me a whole lot.

whenever I see all the wireless names around me in my building, I am doubly happy that mine is Monkey.
