You know, it's funny. We went to war never looking to come back, but it's the real world I couldn't survive.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

I tend to be about 10 to 15 minutes late as often as not, but considering I'm also here for about 11 hours afterwards and most weekends as well, I'm not all that concerned about punctuality.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Man. I've been coming in almost an hour late for a while now, but I've been here 5 years and am pregnant. And I almost never take lunch.

This is me, except for the pregnant bit. But I'm also almost always working in the early mornings or into the evening and on weekends. And also didn't start it up two weeks into my job. Whatev.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I have to say, being late starting and being a half-hour late for a meeting you called are two totally different animals. Second week or no.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

I have egg nog tea. I can't decide if it's weird or awesome.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Why can't it be both?

Fuckin' Tino.

I'm trying to save an updated file to the shared drive which was upgraded over the weekend, and it's telling me I don't have the ability. Methinks someone reset my settings accidentally during the upgrade. Sent the ticket off to our outsourced IT group to see if they can fix it.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I have eggnog tea in the cupboard, have had it for some time, and still can't decide if it's weird or awesome.

Sass seems to be better, but they haven't found a particular cause or toxin (beyond something she ate at the park). I'll know more this afternoon. Thanks to everyone for the good thoughts.

If I'm going to abuse the good will of my workplace, I prefer to leave early rather than come in late.

I have egg nog tea.

Where did you find such a beast? I have been sad that I have given up coffee and the chance at an egg nog latte this year.

Hmm, I'm a little skeptical of the vamp chart. It says that silver doesn't affect Buffy vampires, but that's not true.
