And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

My method is to melt some butter, add garlic and a little vermouth (or white wine or lemon juice), let the sauce boil for a minute or two, then take the pan OFF the heat before I add the spinach. Then turn with tongs for a minute or two until almost wilted and remove to a serving platter. The key is to take it out of the pan before you think it's really done, because the heat of the sauce will keep cooking it.

Yeah. Just the water that sticks to the spinach when you wash it is enough -- you don't need to add any extra water.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

OK, have people seen the Kay jeweler commercial with the couple in the cabin/house and the storm coming? ANd when she turns to hold him, he's all "I'm right here. voice drops And I always will be." Given the setting, I swear I thought this was a for a new thriller/horror movie. creeps me the fuck out. stupid jewelry commercial.

Ha ha! I just saw it. And totally.

So the right heel pain? Is weird. Day 1: shooting pain in my heel standing up a few hours after 5 mile walk. Day 2: Achy breaky ankle except in heels. Day 3: shin splint except in heels, sore ankle on the outside. Day 4: shooting pains only in the foot, on the outside when not in heels, weird tingling in toes, pulled muscle pain up to my ass. WTF did I do to my foot??

Could be a stress fracture, or one of the little foot or ankle bones got a little dislocated and is pushing everything else slightly out of place.

It's in the timeline of hormones wherein my joints get loose and do weird things and fuck up my system. The only thing that isn't is the first collapse-on-floor heel pain a couple weeks ago.

So if this doesn't go away in a week....stupid body. Well, stupid regardless.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Thursday is impatience day. I have to watch rising post counts in Boxed Set and Supernatural, plus there's The Mentalist at ten. So many yummy people all in a row. John Cho, Jensen Ackles, Owain Yeoman. Yum.

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

I just watched last night's Glee. Then I read TLo's shtick and some mom made a comment about how someone in a care facility is institutionalized and why is she not at home and I wanted to crack heads. Mostly over it now.

Anybody else watching Colbert? Specifically, watching the commercials?

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

Tonight's dinner was a theme night chez bon Bob. The theme: Thursday night at the old folks' home! Creamed spinach (with tofu) and mashed parsnips (with tofu). Literally nummy.

I can't believe I have a cat that loves cooked spinach. Weirdos.
