I fell asleep in mac's bed while waiting for him to fall asleep. now I'm awake again. I should go to bed, right?
I do this ALL the time. If I lay on the bed with Liv, I'm out in 2 seconds. Then I wake up at 10 or 11 and try to decide whether to stagger to my own bed or turn on the tv.

I sometimes make a list, but only when I really need to remember something.
