Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Fuck. There's going to be a parade and shit going right past my work building.

HA! Jesse made me laugh.

Welcome (back) home, Jesse.... how goes it?

Has anyone posted this yet: [link] so cute and clever. Reminds me of the food fight video that had been going around.

Oh sara, plumbing is no fun, but getting it right when you have the money will be good. You really are so much more zen about it than you were about the rain when you first moved in.

also, sara, how long do you keep your nails on before a change?

MFY - just so sick of them. luckily not around any big loud fans. bleargh.

I am trying to do some early mental planning for Christmas in NY and probably our last Christmas here, so thinking of all the things to try and do and how to do them somewhat early so as not to be WOAH overwehelmed. - store windows, Radio City Spectacular, Rock Center tree, AMNH tree, ice skating,

other ideas?

Also just hit me that this was probably my last US Open, unless I make that an annual vacation from now on.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

This is odd. I registered for a conference, and there were two email notifications -- the first to confirm that my registration was in the system, and then the second to confirm that it had been processed. The first one had my name spelled right, the way I typed it in, but the second one had my name spelled wrong.

I do conference registration at a university, and I am guessing that they don't have a fully automated system. That is, the first email is automatically generated with the information you provided, but "processed" means that someone printed it out and then typed it in to a list. Which is when they changed the spelling of your name.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

My least favorite thing was having to talk about baseball any time I told anyone I was from MA.

Heh - my parents will shamelessly go to Cyclones games with me in full Red Sox regalia. They're rarely the only ones there.

(I don't follow baseball at all, but I do enjoy watching people play it. Minor league games 20 minutes from my house? Perfection.)
