"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

My 78 year old plumbed house. Sigh.

Full coopper repipe.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Are sore soon-to-be-losers even worse than sore losers?

I'll have to find an eight year old and ask.

OTOH, I guess I can call my home warrantee to see if this is covered. It may be. Might as well get the seller's $$ worth. (I am SO keeping the home warrantee for many years.)

Full copper repipe.

Honey, someday soon. Hopefully when I'm saving $$ again rather than bleeding it out. I got rusty water up there. Second floor plumbing is original, as are the radiators. Kitchen and intake new. Fun fun fun. (I knew this. It's a risk. And thank god I have the M&D Bank with their favorable loan terms if it goes really south.)

Meanwhile, I kind of like the sad face/happy face Amex commercial. It's cute.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Honey, someday soon.

It'll increase the value of your house! I also encourage you to add a jacuzzi.

Copper pipes - people used to have them, and then they didn't, but it turns out they're better? Is that right? One of those things I think I should know but don't.

ETA: That was sweet!

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

The idea of tamarind is interesting. We don't cook with it that much, although I could eat it all day in tamarind balls. Perhaps it's best had with sugar and not with chickpeas (ick).

Tamarind chutney is made of pure love. With naan? OMG, HEAVEN.

Almost as heavenly as tamarind balls.

Almost.

I also encourage you to add a jacuzzi.

Not covered by warrantee! Besides, I love my vintage bath. The shower valve says "Shower" and "Tub"! And I'm not really in this for the investment, honestly. I'm in it cause it is MINE MINE MINE. First floor rain and all.

Man, my nightmares were prescient.

Copper is a fuckload better than iron, which rusts out.

It rained on the Himalayas.

Luckily, I wiped it off.

Still, funny.
