Perkins--watching Criminal Minds tonight?
Well, I had been planning on it.
Well.
Just learned the hard way that baths in this house are not possible until I get the plumbing looked at. Showers, fine. Bath? Rain on the first floor. No (more) damage done than already existed, and so.
So much for relaxing the ick out with a bath. I'm guessing the drain or the drain plug or that thing where an overflow would be doesn't seal right. The sound of rain INSIDE the house is alarming, let me tell you.
I still love my house. My 78 year old plumbed house. Sigh.
And thank god for the Y when I have enough $$ to deal with this.
Now where the hell did I put my goddamn drink?
Ack sara!
Oh, dear. I'd try to shove a drink through the intertubes, but that might just result in more liquid in places it doesn't belong. Glad there's no extra damage, though.
ETA: Except to your calm.
Exactly.
Now I know from whence the previous damage came. (I suspect the faux overflow, as it didn't do this when I filled the tub 3/4 full while I was in it to caulk it and the rubber on it is deteriorating. But who knows?)
And the sad thing is, it's a comfy tub, even though it doesn't seem like it should be, with the slanty part up against a faucet. The edge on the vertical part is perfect to hang your neck on and put your feet up on the slanty.
Someday.
Though I'll probably tempt fate and see if using a normal stopper and sealing off the faux thingie solves it. Really no other source given the water raining downstairs was lavendar scented...
I'm really much more blase about this than I ever thought I would be.
Perkins, is the subject a squick? More than pigs?
Oh! That's probably why my upstairs neighbor is being so loud. The howling was a new thing for him.
I can tell how the MFY are doing by the bar on the corner.
