I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

In my relatively small town we have at least 4 mexican restaurants, 2-4 taquerias (can't remember which are just tiendas), and 3 tex-mex places, too.

I know. And now I want an Carrburritos margarita. Or two.

Now tagless for your comfort.

I worked at Taco Bell.

And yet, I still occasionally eat there.

DH worked there in high school and college. He said it was so clean because everything came pre-packaged and they didn't have to really cook anything. He still likes it today. Admittedly, it's not "authentic" but it's yummy junk fast food.

I liked Mo's. We used to have one in Columbus and we ate there a lot.

I have a pounding headache and a cough. I hope I'm not getting Liv's ick.

For real taco shop mexican food I have to drive to San Diego. There are just so many amazing taco shops there. It isn't that there aren't a lot of great ones here, I mean I can think of at least 10 within half a mile of the house, it's just that they are even better in San Diego.

Aw, my first fish taco was when I was in San Diego for the MLA and ND drove down to keep me company. Of course, now I know it was really just for the tacos.

“Not dead yet!”

The chipotle lime tenderloin was of the yum and we had it with yellow rice with green pepper & pineapple and other stuff.

I fear it is now nap time. Especially since I bought new pajamas/inside pants at Target today.

And can I get some sort of props for getting out of Target for less than $100.00?

Shit's all sorts of different now.

I'll give you some though I can brag that I once left a Target without having spent ANY MONEY!! And I didn't leave with anything, either!!

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I ended up at Rubio's because it was more on my way and had a mesquite shrimp burrito. Is there any way for a burrito not to be a hot mess? It was tasty, though.

As I was leaving someone walked in with a Chipotle bag which was kinda weird.

Turns out the co-worker did want to have lunch with me, but I kinda left when he wasn't looking. Oops.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I can brag that I once left a Target without having spent ANY MONEY!! And I didn't leave with anything, either!!

Did you have no money when you entered the Target?

If someone says "Let's run out for Mexican food" I'd never suggest Taco Bell

Exactly. It is OK junk food (and given that it is something I grew up with in LA, I occasionally get a yen.) I grew up on both real Mexican food, and Taco Bell. Not the same thing, but both have their place. Don't know about today, but the 60's there were Taco Bells next to real Taquerias and Mexican-Americans (and for that matter actual Mexicans) would eat at both.
