"We're all stories, in the end. Just make it a good one, eh?"

I can't find the video, but at one point a guy launches off his walker, drops to the mat and starts grappling, really whaling on his opponent...

Now that sounds like fun.

Anyway, maybe you'd have better luck looking for local schools that do adaptive programs rather than a form that adapts.

I've been looking, but not getting anywhere. (You'd think a city the size of London would have adapted martial arts somewhere. Will keep looking.)

ETA:

I was getting ready to go to bed, and found out that Claude Lévi-Strauss passed away.

Oh, what a shame. (Although I see he was 100. Not at all bad.) He had some fab ideas.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Seska, maybe one of these guys can help hook you up even if they don't have an affiliate right in London: [link]

Looks like a guy named Terry Taylor was the big dog in UK martial arts for the disabled and he passed away. This tribute page has some links that might lead to something. [link]

I'm seeing a lot of Self Defense for the disabled. Maybe you could find a school via one of those workshops.

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

Hey, msbelle, did you tell Mac about Derartu Tulu?

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Went to see Springsteen at the Verizon Center last night. Great show, but I ended up getting less than 6 hours of sleep last night. Bleah.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Has anyone ever seen elevator advertising? These are kinda cool.

I may have to seize the cat.

Go top hat, choose top hat!

It is my "I finished the semester" reward. So I'm not getting it yet. (Can we integrate gothwear with Anya quotes more often? Because it gives me a happy.)

True Story: When I went to buy Gothic Charm School the other day, I also picked up the new Interweave Crochet. Cashier asked me if I planned to crochet gothwear. I said, "I just might!" (This kind of makes me want to revive my blog series on goth crochet. Though, is it a series, if it's only two entries?)

And with that, I go back to student life.

I started work on these in black recently. I think that counts.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I don't think my boss understands what it involves, having me work fewer hours. I haven't been able to leave the building all day. I'm leaving in fifteen minutes no matter what, but that's still eight and a half hours I've put in for two days in a row. Not very conducive to a forty hour week.

Kib, those are gorgeous.
