Owen just gave me his first spoiler! We rented G-Force for the kids. They went with a friend to see it in the theatre, but wanted to see it again. When Speckle gets crushed in the garbage truck, Owen looked at me and said, "He's going to die in the garbage truck and then he becomes the bad guy!" So I checked the plot on Wikipedia and it does, in fact, reveal that the star-nosed mole is actually the evil mastermind behind the plot to destroy humanity. *sniff* I'm so proud.

I was trying to recall just that, Jon. I think it was Sandy West. I have a vague memory of her referring to a "Sandy" but dang, it's been decades. And she understandably wanted to make sure that none of us students knew anything about it. I only know because my mom was good friends with many of the teachers, so she was over at our house one day and mentioned it.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.
I was going to bitch that The Book of Eli had flown entirely under my radar (I just bumped into the trailer doing my periodic Apple TV trailer review), but then I realised I've had pics of Denzel up on one of my sites from it since September. I just never knew where they'd come from.
So I'm back around to bitching. Have I just been skipping the ads on TiVo? The trailer totally looks like something I'd rewind for, Mila Kunis notwithstanding. Or is it flying close to the ground because it's supposed to be a turkey (I haven't seen much analysis of it, bar one site that called it Denzel's version of The Postman, which isn't good--but they sounded very amused with themselves)?
