And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

It seems like this will go down like Titanic did.

The movie, not the boat, I'm assuming.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

some people seemed to enjoy it on a Crank-like level

I can barely believe I enjoyed Crank on a Crank -like level. I'm not sure another movie can approach that without Jason Statham on crack. He has a magic. I still need to see Crank 2, though.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

The original has aged badly, but there's an actual good movie in there behind all the "Paganism = nekkid Brit Eckland, yay!" stuff.

Plus Edward Woodward and Christopher Lee were both really good in it.

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

The movie, not the boat, I'm assuming.

You saw what I did there.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

The movie breaks in half before sinking, with one half staying afloat a little longer than the other!

I know that John Goodman fights a ninja. And there's a snake-apult. And Vikings.

John Goodman fights a ninja

Dude. That's like Newhart flipping out like a mammal in The Librarian. Which I haven't seen, but wouldn't mind catching.

And Vikings are always good.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

I know that John Goodman fights a ninja. And there's a snake-apult. And Vikings.

Vikings?? Damn.

Don't be a viking!

I actually enjoyed the hell out of Speed Racer. But I saw it in Imax, so that might just have been the visual overload talking.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

There's nothing wrong with Speed Racer that a competent editor couldn't have fixed. The Wachowskis need to have their final cut card revoked, is all.
