Has anyone seen The Croods? If so, was it any good?
My niece saw it with her son. They said it was terrible and he wanted to leave in mid-screening.
Willow ,'Same Time, Same Place'
A place to talk about movies--old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.

See, I kinda liked The Croods. But I went in with no expectations, so there is that.
Thanks, Hec. The previews did look terrible. I was looking to see something this afternoon that TCG wouldn't want to see.
The Croods doesn't look interesting to me at all, but my favorite 8 year old LOVED it so much that she has seen it twice.
Jon, was the Much Ado screening in MA?
Yes, it was a screening at the Somerville Theater, part of IFFBoston.
I wish I had known about that.
There's a screening of Much Ado at the Brooklyn Academy of Music on May 30, but I'm not sure I could go, and it's probably sold out already.
Iron Man was fun! I'm not sure the plot made sense, but shit blew up and there were robots!
True! I realized after leaving the theater that I never really quite understood what the hell Killian's plan was or how Extremis worked exactly, but, you know. Explosions and robots.
IM3: I'm not sure that Killian even had a plan, beyond "Kill everything! I hate the world! Especially Stark!" As for Extremis, um, people made of lava! Awesome! How does it work? Who cares! Exploding lava people! Just go with it, I say. It's a comic book.
The one thing I wish was that they had showed HOW Tony fixed Pepper.
