After the first time I saw it, I had a very strong memory of the shadow being distinctly Cumberbatch shaped, but subsequent viewings have proven me wrong.
Yeah, it seemed more distinct on first view, but the mind's a suggestible thing and all.

I considered picking up the Hobbit dvd at Target today but the special features seem to consist of only the video blogs currently available on youtube.
Nothing like the quality of extras for the Trilogy.

I think so, yes. I dimly recall reading somewhere that extended editions are planned.
Also, they'd be stupid not to.
