It is kind of fun to watch the numbers go up on that site. Every time I refresh it is higher and higher
Buffista Movies 7: Brides for 7 Samurai
A place to talk about movies--old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.
Be sure to watch the video for the Kickstarter. It's delightful (and Enrico Colantoni is hilarious). Right now it's at $466k; I bet it hits $1 million by the end of the day.
Weirdly, I was just starting to re-watch S1 of VM last week. A movie would rock my rocks.
Rock on.
now it is at 666,000! When I donated, it was at 156,000
$755,371!
Wow, I guess people really do want this, huh?
I want it and yet I have not donated any $$ to it. I've kind of been burned on kickstarter with technology products so I'm not in the mood this week.
Someone backed the $10K speaking role.

I haven't yet either. The prize I'd really like is a role as an extra, but I definitely can't pledge that kind of moolah. But I think I can spare enough to get myself a T-shirt or something.

I'm pretty sure I've never gotten around to actually doing one, though there have been a few that interested me. So I think I'm ripe for the pledging.
I've funded like 10-15!! Some I was happy to fund because I knew I wasn't getting much out of it besides supporting the project planning.
Most I have wanted a product out of it and I think of the ones I've funded, I have liked the product 1-2 times. The others had flaws that made me mad. I probably wouldn't have bought the things if they were sold in a retail establishment.
