Reavers ain't men. Or they forgot how to be. Now they're just nothing. They got out to the edge of the galaxy, to that place of nothing, and that's what they became.

Thanks for all the birthday wishes!

For my birthday, I got cramps, a hellacious drive to the UPS depot, new shoes and a very busy day.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Thanks to Jilli I find myself lusting after Fluevogs, and shoes purchased on sale. Am now contemplating either these or these.

Oh dear. Only one of those makes a good birthday present.

Oh, and a $550 check from the city. I'm not sure why on the latter.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

They want you to buy more shoes?

hip deep in pie

Burell, I love both of those. I know two people who have the flats and love them.

I risked life and back to mow my front lawn this evening. It was getting really long! As I was mowing by the side of the house I managed to accidentally knock the hose on the ground and hit the tap with the handle, which sprayed water all over the electric mower. Quite the smooth move. Luckily, I was planning to wait to finish mowing the back yard on the weekend.

I must confess, the money flow of this first-time mortgage having bewilders me at times: I get a $3K tax bill I am to ignore (mortgage holder pays it from my escrow,) city sends me a check whose source is unclear (homesteading credit? tax bill overpay?) a negative water bill, and come tax time, a check about the amount I will have spent on the deck and blinds.

It's confusing!

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

I want to buy fluevogs, but I just bought 2 pair of shoes via land's end, so must get rid of some before I buy anything else. I think I can easily dump 2 pairs of shoes immediately, I'd like to get rid more like 4-5 pairs before any new purchases.

I've been itching to do some sewing. Maybe this sunday I can do some. I'd like to make a couple of new summer dresses, and figure out a jumper pattern that I would like for the winter.
