Spike? It's you. It's really you! My therapist thought I was holding on to false hope, but…I knew you'd come back. You're like…you're like Gandalf the White, resurrected from the pit of the Balrog, more beautiful than ever. Oh…he's alive Frodo. He's alive.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Anne, yes, thanks for reminding me. Do you mean north outside the city or? I know Pikesville, Owings Mills and towards Reisterstown, which is NW. And Towson, of course (universityville.) Until now, my tromping grounds were pretty much the NW.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Did you get my e-mail?

I did! I didn't reply yet because I was sussing out my plans, but I will be taking you up on your offer.

Which I will address in an email.

Because books.

sarameg, Towson, Cockeysville, that area. Or any area that would be commutable if you were working in Hunt Valley. And is affordable, hopefully?

Hunt Valley, anywhere off 83, really. A friend lived up in Padonia and her rent was the same as mine at the time (but 12 years ago.) I briefly dated a coworker who bought a condo, also in Padonia. I don't know how expensive it is; I'd direct them to redfin if they are buying. It can't be too bad, what with Towson U and all those students. There's a mix of housing. I'm trying to think...Timonium, Lutherville, Dulaney Valley...I only really know where they are, not much about them beyond that.

Mt. Washington (just above Northern Parkway @ 83) is going to be pricier, but it is nice.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

The prom place looks very nice, Kat. I hope you had fun.

I am eating a lean pocket for dinner, and pretending it's pizza. I am not sure I can get any more pathetic.

I was eyeing this already, but sara's freebie has got me ready to buy one: [link]

This type of elder care facility is planned for part the stadium site at the end of the street: [link]

How awesome! (We've already got a senior apartment complex, the Y and Cal Ripkin is heading up a youth baseball field project on the actual footprint of the old stadium.)

We have that one, msbelle, and it's fantastic. We keep it in the laundry room and use the top for Jack-Jack's food and water bowls. It's great because it's just high enough that the dogs (meaning Jasmine, the Lab) know that Jack's food is off limits.

msbelle, I just love it. I like the shelf and towel rod on that one. Mine has a drawer and a rolling bottom tray I took out to fit the monster box w/cover. Until I can get a deeper tray, I I need to the cover to keep Loki from emptying the box, but I hope to do that soon.

Which will mean I have THREE old litterboxes to get rid of. Sigh. Upside is that I only need 2 boxes now. Oh, wait, maybe one of the old ones has a deep tray...
