Yes, it's terribly simple. The good guys are always stalwart and true, the bad guys are easily distinguished by their pointy horns or black hats, and, uh, we always defeat them and save the day. No one ever dies, and everybody lives happily ever after.

Coding and Sleeping

We're looking at subzero temps with severe windchill. O doesn't have school until this afternoon but man, I hate the thought of him going out in -25 WC. It's just from the house to the bus and the bus to the school but brrrrrr!

It was -14 WC here. I drove them up to the bus stop even though Em was all for just going in the cold. She was quite relieved that school was not canceled.

Candy corn is basically fondant, IIRC.

Ah. This puts a whole new light on it. I'm a fan of the candy corn, I must say. And the blood reddy-ness of the Buffista cake kind of reminds me of candy corn. Okay, now I want it.

I'm curious about the stake. That must be fondant only, right? You couldn't bake cake dough in that shape and then cover it, eh?

Ginger, that's a lovely cake you made. I'm so impressed by that art.

Yesterday, it was 50 degrees. Today, my headphone cord actually froze on the way to work.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Noah is confused by the rain. It's pretty adorable.

It's adorable even picturing this, I must say.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Wow! That's a pro-level cake, for sure.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Those cakes are magnificient.

I'd like layer of marzipan under fondant. Doesn't that sound heavenly?

"What kind of magical sunshine and lollipop world do you live in? Because you need to be medicated."-SFist

Yay!

My landlord just let us know that he will not be moving back to SF until August/September. That's a big relief, as I really don't have the money to move right now and would love to put it off until April when I have saved more and have raise/bonus/tax info.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

I *knew* something like this would happen as soon as Stewart & Colbert went on hiatus. It never fails!

Seriously! We were discussing this over in the Comedy thread where I was lamenting the drought of new Stewart & Colbert (so not using a slash there) until next year.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

Um. This could be a little TMI, but does anyone know how to get blood out of a cloth office chair?
