Spike: We got a history, him and me. Fred: What? Spike: It was a long time ago. He was a young Watcher, fresh out of the academy when we crossed paths. It was a, what-you-call battle of wills and blood was spilled. Vendettas were sworn. It was a whole-- Fred: My God you're so full of crap. Spike: Yeah. Okay.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

Argh! Apparently you're not supposed to prepare & refrigerate food in the stoneware crock of a crock pot before you cook it the next day. I assumed you could. This is going to involve changing my plans.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

It's fine to prepare the food in some other container and pour it into the stoneware in the morning, though.

That's what I'm going to do. As soon as I find a big enough container. But first I'm going to eat dinner.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I am in love with Leverage. I'm glad it's on TNT where it'll at least play out the whole first season.

Laughed my ass off to see John Rogers onscreen. I forgot he does that too.

In more TNT news, I think I'm going to have to watch Trust Me, maybe mostly because I can't work out when Tom Cavanaugh stopped looking freakish and weird.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

How come? Does it leach into the pot or something? Or is it the temperature change of the pot from fridge to heat?

Not that it matters to me, because my crockpot is the el cheapo kind where the stoneware isn't separate from the electronics.

Because books.

Isn't it fun?! I love it. Very Ocean's Eleven meets Robin Hood. With pretty people!

You have to remember that being a 5-time Olympic medalist means Hilary Knight has been playing hockey at an elite level at least 16 years. It's impossible for her to be a teenage girl less than 16 years old, thus the President's complete lack of interest.

That date is still at some hypothetical point in the future for me. Dude could have played the Joker without make-up if he took a dip in a chlorinated pool first.

Temperature change. It can crack the stoneware.
