Convention-related note to Teppy: Over at Shakesville, Liss is kind of wowed by Obama's speech. She doesn't have a post about it, just comments in other people's posts, but she watched and listened with an open mind and was seriously impressed.

I always wonder what sex addiction looks like from inside a relationship, if infidelity isn't involved. Don't want to make any presumptions about DD.
I've never heard of it happening. Maybe it does and just isn't People-magazine-worthy? But from anything I've ever seen "sex addiction" looks like misnamed "cheating addiction".
Rumor is that McCain just picked Alaska's female governor for his running mate. Clever.
I know nothing about her in particular, but the Alaska repubs have to be the most corrupt political organization going since the Grant administration, which could get interesting.
All I know is that she's popular, she's 44 years old, and that she is a big advocate of drilling in ANWAR.

Alaska politics reminded me of my hot roommate from DC from 10 years ago, so I looked him up, he is an elected official now, and SO NOT HOT. Holy crap. But it looks like he's doing well, so that's nice.
