Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Aw geez, Connie. He broke a zillion world records. I say give him a week or two of hype to enjoy.

He's had the week. I'm just wishing NBC would stop wringing every penny they can out of him.

"What kind of magical sunshine and lollipop world do you live in? Because you need to be medicated."-SFist

I noticed a number of Belgians in Track & Field events. It surprised me. Have they always done well there?

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

I can totally see INTO THE FUTURE, you guys! Plus my hair is long. It is apparently startling.

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

I'm digging the closing ceremonies for the Olympics. It's like Busby Berkeley on steroids. Awesome.

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

Seeing into the future would be a useful skill for the purchasing of lotto tickets.

Also, the big floating drums at the closing ceremonies look like giant floating edam cheese. Am I the only one who wasn't really impressed with the opening ceremonies (nor am I impressed so far with the closing. Like I'm confounded by the drummers in bile helmets and the glowing bells. I'm not feeling the harmoniousness.
