Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

“Not dead yet!”

I found a reference to Life Magazine's Celebration of the Olympic Body, but haven't found a date yet.

Funny x-post

And oh my... he's so, so beautiful.

Either there were multiple covers or they did it more than once (I think it was the former) because I'm seeing a second cover that I will not link to -- its neighbors are, um, not so much Olympians...

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

OMG people. I just realized that I accidentally unsubbed to Natter a whole day ago!!

And I didn't realize it until I found myself thinking "why aren't we all nattering about the incredibly adorable wee Aussie twink in the diving?", and I found my way back to the thread (OMG DON'T LET ME DO THAT EVER AGAIN!!) and we still aren't!

(Of course, nekkid Olympians are a perfectly good distraction.)

Wasn't he just the cutest little thing? He looked so stunned. I felt bad for Boudia. I wish he could've not mangled his last dive quite so spectacularly.

Oh I ADORE him.

I felt awful for the Chinese diver you could see in the back of the shot. It was amazing to watch though, the two of them in the same shot.

Platform diving blows my mind. Between being stiff, extrordinarily afraid of heights, and physically-incapable-of-zero-body-fat-short-of-chemo it is simply unimaginable to me.
