Anyone rounds these parts work on or tangentially close to political campaigns? I have a friend who has been a dynamo community organizer/campaign workhorse for new york city/state campaigns (seriously, like top community organizer on winning campaigns). She's young, smart, and wanting to get some non-new york experience. email me if you have contacts you'd be willing to share with her.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Being of an age sucks, doesn't it?

Yeah, although I refuse to think of 65 as being an OK age to die.

Edit: I mean, I know people die younger than that all the time, but I think that falls into the "cut down too soon" category!

No shit. I know my parents are getting older (dad approaching 66, mom 63) but that doesn't seem that old to me these days. They have aged, and that does surprise me, but. Then I pause to consider I lost a grandparent in her early 70s and I have aunts and uncles there and I freak out.

MsBelle, sorry no contacts, at least not for paid positions. (Anyone willing to work full time for free at this point can get all the offers they want.)

Oh and on your other question: personally my guess as to the VP pick is Bruce Springsteen.

Not only that, he was born to win.

I'm catching up on my Olympic viewing still. Thomas Finchum is adorable.

So is Thomas Daley.

I think Toms run to the cute.

Anything for a weird life.

This is a good sign for me, then?
