Now tagless for your comfort.

I hope you get some good sleep, Nilly. You deserve it.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

Oh, no, Nilly! And what Barb said--it sounds like you made extra sure to double and triple check their availability, and they were both very clear and very wrong. You did everything you were supposed to do, by the required deadline, and now it's their problem, not yours. Go sleep the sleep of the righteous and the dissertation-finishers.

Not really relatedly:

since it's morning here, and I suspect it's the same time in Petah Tikva as well

Psst, it's Ramat-Gan, but, yup, still morning.

One of our pediatric cardiologists lives in Petach Tikva! She trained here and comes back at least once a year. She's one of the nicest people I have ever met. Clearly there's something about your region of Israel that produces brilliant, kind, totally awesome women. My sample of two scientifically proves it!

Nilly! How rotten of them! And congratulations on getting that done - sleep the deep sleep of the just and wake up in September to deal with the asshat bureaucracy.

I think that the men's unitard swim suits are uncomfortable - I saw a picture. . . possibly in TWOP's Olympics HoYay thread where you could see the deep indentations that the uniform made on the skin of one of the guys. Ouchy.

I will try to find links. I believe that there are people here who might appreciate them.

Got to see some cycling this morning and I'm holding out hopes for the next round of show jumping.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Jump standards that look like mah-jongg tiles = at least eight kinds of awesome.

Cool! Where are you seeing this? Or are you watching online?

It's on NBC -- but it just now strikes me that I don't know if they're doing a time delay in the central time zone or not.

Damn, did they show the 61 riders before Laura Kraut? How many did I miss!!

Eastern and Central are usually on simultaneiously - just at different "times" in the time zone.

I've only seen a few (4 or 5, maybe?). They switched over after the women's basketball and some assorted updates, so you didn't miss too much.

That's what I thought, but this Olympics has my sense of time even more turned around than it already is...

BTW, did you see the little video feature on Laura Kraut's horse Cedric? (It's on the NBC Olympics Equestrian page.) Apparently, he's a bit of a clown.
