Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Nilly, can you create the whole pdf, save it as something new, and then just delete the pages you don't need for the ToC file?

It doesn't have any option of deleting pages, there, and it won't help if I just type the relevant pages, because it's for the digital copy.

I re-created the abstract, and saved the contents as pictures on a Word, then pdf.

Now, to the Windows machine, to burn.

YAY, Nilly! Go you!!!

Meanwhile I'm still awake. I'm tired of this insomnia crap. The brain needs to be hushing up and letting me sleep. Or I need someone to go out and drink with so I can just pass out.

So.

A funny thing just happened.

Remember the office I was supposed to go to, to hand in all the stuff? The office that I specifically asked on Wednesday for its schedule, so that it'll be open when I get there? The office I was assured is open Sunday? Not going on a two-weeks vacation like most of the offices in the university? Will definitely be there to accept my little heap of words and graphs, yes, on Sunday, unlike everybody else?

Yeah, guess what?

I sat on the stairs in front of the locked door for full ten minutes before I recovered enough to get up again (also, the bag with the 4 copies and the seventeen thousand other things which needed to be handed in, 2-copies-of-this and 4-copies-of-that and extra-eleventy-millions-copies of-that-other-one-in-both-languages).

And now I'm home. Too exhausted to even be worried or stressed out or anything.

I e-mailed my supervisor (who just left this morning and is now somewhere over some ocean on his way to some abroad). There's nobody else to talk to, because, see above, re: nobody being in any of the offices.

In any case, I'm going to sleep.

All Dealing with reality will be delayed for a while, OK? Ta, ever so.

Good night, dear. Don't worry, there will be a way. After all, you made it!

“Not dead yet!”

Oh dear, Nilly-- well, if they assured you, then it's totally on them. You did what you were supposed to-- now sleep.
