Mal: Hell, this job I would pull for free. Zoe: Can I have your share? Mal: No. Zoe: If you die, can I have your share? Mal: Yes.

Coding and Sleeping

McCain has said "Nations don't invade other nations in the 21st century" or wtte.

To be fair, 2003 may have been in the 20th century invasion grace period.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

To be fair, 2003 may have been in the 20th century invasion grace period.

Iraq got grandfathered into the list of invadable countries, when Sadam tried to kill Bush's daddy.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Maybe it depends on what we mean by "nation".

Surely a "rogue state" isn't a "nation".

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

My brother told me yesterday that the US just inked a deal for missle installations with Poland. Which, you know, big huge fucking bone of contention with Russia.

So if you thought there was going to be any attempt at de-escalation of defusing of tenstions, well, you must be new here.

I woke up to the smell of fire. .. or maybe the smell of something that has burned?

This happened to me the other day, but it turned out to be my neighbor burning something in his garden.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

That's right. Also, I saw both the Stones and Simon & Garfunkel in arenas. Could Mick Jagger be the antichrist?

OH! I saw Bruce Springsteen in Dodger Stadium.

How many Antichrists are there?

“Not dead yet!”

I am now severely earwormed.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Less attacking trees and fires and such this morning, please.

No temp work and my book project kaput has been putting me in a funk.

But the silver lining is that after two thirds of a summer devoted to an intense baseball schedule, Emmett can just flop around and have a few lazy summer days before school starts again on Aug. 27th.

He's got his Batman Legos out and he's watching old Batman animated while polishing off some toast with raspberry jam.

Yesterday we saw Tropic Thunder, played arcade games and treated ourselves to Beard Papa cream puffs (me) and a chocolate fondant (for him).
