You guys had a riot? On account of me? A real riot?

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Nilly, you deserve so much better than him.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

It's not you, it's him!

Thank you.

See, computer? The internet tells you to behave.

Problem is, you can't convince me to dump him. Not until Sunday, anyway.

[Edit: remember that line Kaylee told Simon in "Firefly" about not using swear words? That's where I am right now. The perfect time for a swear word. Though I tend to choose chocolate. I have the best chocolate-chips cookies in the world. I should add them to the "acknowledgments" page.]

It's him!

You poor thing. Nothing like computer psychosis when you're on such a deadline. Uhg. LaTex always made me spit.

Another crazy day.

OK, on pretty much the exact second I typed the "perfect time for a swear word" line? The Windows machine I'm connecting to (the one that's not mine) decided it's the perfect time to install updates and restart itself, no matter how I tried to click the"restart later" option.

It apparently was a perfect time for *something*.

sara, I'm sorry your day was crazy. I wish this crazy-time-for-me could at least spare other people some of the crazy!

sarameg - Aug 14, 2008 3:21:52 pm PDT #3387 of 10003

Hey, I should be eating up the crazy for the next 4 months. NO idea why it appears to be bleeding over to you.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

Today was the only day this week that I did not take umbrellas, only day it has rained on the way home.

Anyhoo mac and I sang "rain rain go away" and mac even yelled a few times at the sky to "just stop it".

Nah, I think it comes as a package deal with the whole deadline notion. Oh, well. We can share. I wish I could share my cookies with you, too, at least.

Anyhoo mac and I sang "rain rain go away" and mac even yelled a few times at the sky to "just stop it".

This made my day middle-of-the-night better. I'm sorry it had to be on the expanse of you getting wet, but still. Thank you.

Yeah, why doesn't the sky listen to mac?

This is charming: [link] ETA: the audio slideshow linked to it is neat too. The cyclist is a great narrator.

So, the let's-do-the-exact-same-thing-I'm-not-kidding-it-was-exactly-the-same-from-scratch thing seems to begin to work. So far, tfu tfu, things seem to talk to each other, when I have to use three (!) different computers in order to take the part-which-works in each one of them.

One small step, one giant leap, and all that.

Phew. A mini-phew.

(Right before clicking "post" I realized - is there anywhere else where they say "tfu tfu", against the "evil eye"?)
